I love snails. Not because I'm slow, but because I think they're fascinating and beautiful. This past week's teapot party is 'choose your animal', and I choose snails. I haven't ever seen one in real life, except at the lake 'up north' and that was just the shells. They are shy. I think I like the shape. I do collect snails, especially vintage ones or maybe some yard art. I even Zentangled a snail a while ago.
So I hoped I would find a snail in today's IC. Nope. But I loved all those baby animals with blue skies, flowers or bubble gum. So I used those pictures as inspiration. My baby snails are going on a trip, as I am, 'up north' as we Wisconsinites say, to the lake.
I too like the play on words for the website today. What fun!

This is so sweet and made me smile from ear-to-ear. I just love the flowers you added to the snail shells. This garden is so lovely I am surprised your snails even want to go up North, but we all deserve a nice vacation. Maybe you will see a snail this year. We have them in Minnesota- they tend to be On the underside of leaves. Seeing a snail is supposed to bring you good luck! What a terrific card this is for the challenge. ~Karen.

Jean,
You are deprived!! I think you need to get a fish tank and get yourself some snails!! We had them so many years ago! They move so slow in the water, and it is fascinating to watch!!
Love all the colors on your card, so very cheerful!!

Want my snail story, probably not! Please don’t call the snail conservation agency. I’ve lost countless hostas, echinacea, and other tender morsels to the Oregon Snail Society!
I do love your idyllic scene though and even those gastropods. The floral bg is perfect whimsy. And the snail all dressed in flower ‘pedals’ are quite the show! Just give me some stones that have been tangled.
Happy to see this card well loved.
