It is my pleasure to be your hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and I invite you to welcome spring by making a card with some warm, summery colors: Peek-A-Boo Peach, Old Olive, and Calypso Coral. The dessert option this week is to use a punched or die-cut element on your card.
I must give credit to the amazing Jennifer McGuire for featuring the technique in a recent video, and to Rachel Tessman for suggesting the use of a notecard from the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit as the base for the card.
I used the First Frost stamp set, stamping some of the flowers in Calypso Coral and some in Peek-A-Boo Peach. I didn't care for the very pale appearance of the Peach flowers, so I stamped more flowers in Peach, but then used a sponge dauber smooshed in the Coral ink and dabbed onto the center of the stamp before stamping. I liked that combo the best!
The foliage came from both stamps sets listed below. I fussy cut the rose leaves, but used framelits for all the other shapes. Finished with a two-tone thanks die set and some Nuvo drops.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Love how your impressionistic roses(?) have a lovely watercolored look. The floating frame makes for a beautiful card layout, Barbara. The entire card is so beautifully done.

The floating frame technique looks fabulous with the ring of your gorgeous flowers and leaves, and the background is perfect with the subtle graphic design. Beautiful card Barbara!
