Today's inspiration site was totally overwhelming for me. So I decided I would combine with Kim's Mini VSN challenge. I needed a get well card for a coworker who broke her hip and I decided that I would use Winnifred Whale for it. So I went to the inspiration site and found this framed seaglass to inspire my colors. I pulled out my reinkers and then had to hunt for some marbles. Marbles are hard to come by in my house. My Desmond swallowed one while my mom was watching him. She called 911. It was a whole ordeal and now marbles aren't allowed in my house. BUT there are marbles in the Hungry Hungry Hippos game....
So I made my rolled marble background using Umbrella Crafts Aqua, Mint, and Sunbeam. The Sunbeam turned out pretty harsh, so I sponged over the panel with DOX Broken China to soften it up. Then I figured since it was a watery card, I sprayed and splattered it with water. Now you can hardly tell it was a rolled marble background, but it was and I think it came out pretty cool. Quite an adventure this morning and it all happened in 48 minutes.

This is so darn cute, Jen. I love that whale and your marble bg is awesome (perfect colors). I swallowed one when I was about 5 and never told anyone. When I got a bit older and would get a pain in my side from running, I just knew it was that marble. When I got a bit older that that, I learned a bit more about anatomy and realized that was pretty crazy. Hugz
