I love Japanese woodblock prints, especially the winter ones. Here I represent all four seasons: winter, spring, summer and fall, along with a kanji for harmony. I cut the little pictures from an old calendar I had saved. The prints are by Hasui Kawase, born in 1883. I used many layers of washi and handmade paper. I wanted it to look like a little gallery. I have a shadow box frame in which I will display this. Not a hard project but putzy and made up as I went along.
