I love Tickle a Teapotter time of the month. Thank you Sabrina for making this monthly event so much fun and run so smoothly. You do so much here at SCS and it is greatly appreciated.
The local girls were very excited to be in the Miss Whykickamoocow contest. The rules were quite strict this year, no bikinis or naval rings....you can imagine the shocked looks when Trixie turned up wearing both!
Initially Trixie was announced the winner, but Clementine protested that Trixie should be disqualified, not only because she broke the dress code, but in fact she lives in Gimpleroo - a good two and a half hour drive outside of the district.
After much discussion with the Whykickamoocow Country Women's Association (WCWA) secretary Joyce, and the event organisers, it was decided to award Clemi the title of Miss Whykickamoocow and Trixie was named runner up, technically that makes her the first loser. Neither of the girls look very happy with this result and I expect this is not the last we are going to hear on the matter.
About the card - the background is part of the stash of backgrounds I made last week using Dylusions Ink spray and Distress inks, lots of water, stamping and
stenciling (with paste and ink).
I figure if you are going to get messy, then make as many backgrounds as you can until all the ink and paste run out. I have read that mixed media does not have to be messy - for me that's like saying you don't have to get wet when you go for a swim!
My bunting is made from washi tape and gold twine, only the two end flags are glued to the card. The Teapotter who receives this will be able to foof the other flags up a bit.
I don't often add sentiments to the front of cards, but this one seemed to fit perfectly..."I didn't get to be this fabulous overnight".
I hope you get a chance to join us at the Whykickamoocow Festival. Apart from the beauty contest, there will be Best in Show awards for the Best Floral display, Best Bird/Birds and Best Musician/Musical Performance. I can't wait to see all the cards!
Thanks so much for looking.

Oh my gosh is this ever fun! No one but you would have thought of this. Love their bathing suits! Those Katzelkraft penguins rock! Your background is spectacular too. Loved the story and thanks for the laughs! This is incredible!

Okay, Susie, so when are you and Ellen going to write your book?! Illustrated, of course, with your stupendous art. I would purchase a copy in the snap of a finger! This is my first time hearing of Whykickamoocow, such a hoot!
Love your amazing creation, by the way!

I knew I recognised the clock and brick background . And your glam/grumpy penguins. I like their style in choosing red for their costumes, girls after my heart. Fun banner - yikes, I totally forgot about that so no extra cookies for me. And what a super sentiment...there's a lesson to learn there. Thanks for such a fun challenge this month, Susie, and such a fun-tastic card too.

OH SUSIE! You made my day! I'm so glad I joined SCS this year. Your creativity amazes me. When are you going to write the Miss Whykickamoocow storybook?
Clemi and Trixie are adorable and are kicking butt at the Miss Whykickamoocow contest! Your card rocks!

This is one funny card to go along with your funny story. That Trixie, what a rebel. I envy anyone who can write a good story. Only one other person I know who could do that as well, Cindy (mothermark). Nice work

Susie your story is wonderful and the only thing that could be better is your card to illustrate it! Love your ladies even if they don't look too pleased. :-)

What a riot this is! I just loved today’s challenge—I’ve been thinking about Whykickamoocow all day and I’m having such fun browsing the gallery. So glad that you’ve treated us to not only Miss Whykickamoocow, but also the first loser and her belly button piercing. LOL! I can’t get enough of this card. Not only packed with humor but also so perfectly executed and fabulous!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but your words and your pic are absolutely priceless. Thanks so much for your off-the-charts imagination!
