Such a wonderful site for this week's Inspiration Challenge! When I saw THIS pair of socks, I knew that's what I wanted to make. Not the actual socks, lol, but my card version. Well, I do knit & I have made socks, so that's totally possible in the future And I'm adding this to yesterday's F4 challenge..it sure looks like a fair isle sweater to me!
This card was actually pretty easy. I lined up all the sections of the sweater like die and cut them out of navy card. Then I just picked other colors of card stock to go behind it. I finished w/ a stitched frame, the greeting circle & a pair of punched mittens. I added a bit of the trim from the cut outs of the die & used a white Prismacolor pencil to go around the edges.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & product links are on my blog: The Write Stuff

OH! MY! GOODNESS! I am amazed at how closely your die cut overlay resembles that pair of socks - This makes a really warm fuzzy winter card (even in "cool" colors I still think "warm"!)

Gorgeous! Great idea to layer over different colors of cardstock rather than doing inlay for all of it - what a timesaver! I should have done that with my sugar skulls banner... Beautiful card!
