Kim's VSN Mini challenge was a real challenge for me. I've somehow never read Little Women and I don't really do vintage. So I was happy to be able to browse through n2scrappin's gallery today to find some inspiration. I thought this lovely card was some nice vintage inspiration. Kim mentioned handwritten letters, so I searched the internet for the opening lines of Little Women and wrote them illegibly on some parchment type paper. Then I printed out this adorable digi and cut him out with my ScanNCut. Googled warbler to figure out how to color him. I had to do some digging to figure out where I put my doilies--I never use them! And as much as I wanted to tie a pretty bow like LeAnn did, I'm pretty much incapable of that. So it's a knot. I couldn't decide what occasion to make this card for, so it doesn't have a sentiment yet.

Jen, this is fabulous! I love the scripted background...how fun to use words from the novel! Your bird is so pretty, and the embellishments go so beautifully together. Thanks for playing along with my challenge!

So pretty Jennifer! Such a SWEET doily and bird with lovely coloring and shades chosen. Love your personalized script with the pale yellow tint and bold ribbon knot. You did a wonderful CASE of LeAnn's card and a doily, ribbon, and script will take it a long way to vintage everytime!
