Well Anita - don't think there is any question as to which book I like the best. Yes - just give me an old fashioned paperback to hold in my hand and I am in a happy place. For those still wondering which book: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I don't know why it appeals to me - but one guess would be my Scottish ancestry is partly to blame. The book has now been made into wonderful TV series - but the book is far better with lots more to the story line and historic background information.
For this card I photocopied a page from the book and inked around the edged with versa Magic Gingerbread to age the page. I then stamped a Power Poppy stamp which had the perfect wording on the spine of the book. Mind you this took me ages to find in my neatly (or perhaps not so neatly) stashed things in boxes - because I kept on finding "treasures" I had forgotten about. The image is coloured with watercolour pencils. The book title was computer generated and again aged.
Not with a book all about Scottish history I just couldn't go past a bit of tartan to finish it off.
Hope you enjoy.

WOW! Oh, sweet Helen, this is GORGEOUS! Your colors are always so amazing and vibrant, and I love your coloring, especially with a page from the Outlander and a gorgeous tartan! Being of Scottish decent, I have a great fondness for tartan designs (my family is from the Lemont clan). I absolutely LOVE how you've used this sweet Power Poppy image and made it shine and will delight someone very special in the Teapotters Group! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo

I agree, Outlander is one of those great, big book series that you never want to finish. The story is too good to end. Love your card design features, too.
