I spent the evening working on a completely different card for this week's Inspiration Challenge. It featured MFT's owls and was going to be a birthday card for my FIL but the more I tried to make things work the buzzier my head became! Currently, that seems to be my process. I start out with an idea and after a while, I realize it isn't working so I switch and I have a completed card in no time! I just wish I could realize my first card isn't working sooner! LOL
Anyway...........
After I gave up on the owls I decided to search for something green on our site today because I have some lovely backgrounds I created a few weeks ago with Lydia's Oxidized Shaving Cream technique. I was able to get quite a few great Oxidized pulls before I lost the bubbles but I had so much lovely color I kept dipping papers in the shaving cream. The wreath was die cut from one of the later pulls without the bubbles.
The berries on the leaf were made by using a small hole punch, adhering them to the wreath and then adding glossy accents. I am sure Nuvo drops would have looked fabulous but this is what you do when you don't have fancy drops in red!
I Found THIS flag which made me think of a wreath. Don't ask me why, LOL. I remembered seeing THIS adorable kitty flag earlier. I combined the two flags and a card was born!

Aw, I'm glad you gave a wonderful backstory on how you went from owl to kitty to green flowers to a Christmas wreath, LOL! It came out splendid! Faved!

Such a sweet whimsical card, and I know JUST what you mean about the need to switch gears, I always think well, just a little bit longer and I will "save it"!!! ha ha!
