This is my 2nd week as a guest designer for the color challenges and this is the card I made. Jeanne is our hostess and she chose the fabulous colors of Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and dessert is Summer's Last Hurrah. For me, when the the water lilies are blooming and there are hundreds of dragonflies flitting in and around the water lilies, this is summer's last hurrah. I love it when the water lilies are blooming so I dug out this wonderful old PSX stamp and showed it some love. The only ink color I own is daffodil delight so I used copic and spectrum noir alcohol markers to color this image in. Clear wink of stella is used around the large lily pad, but you cannot see it in this photo, but it is really shimmery and makes the water look like it is moving. The dragon fly was made with color burst powders and water, then set aside to dry. I sprayed this piece with Elmer's spray glue and then poured crystal glitter over the spray glue, then set aside to dry. Once dry, the dragonfly was cut from this piece. It is really sparkly in real life and covers up an ink blob I got on my card when I was all done with it. How does that happen? Well, it turned into an opportunity to embellish so that is a good thing. Thank you for looking today, and I hope you can play in the color challenge this week. ~Karen.

Karen, I just loved reading your details about creating this beauty! Just goes to show you as well, we do not need new colors, (ha, but I think I do want the new granny apple green!).....Love the colorburst dragonfly. What a wonderful card, colored so beautifully. The sequins are matching the water! Straight into my faves with this gorgeous card!

Oh, Karen, what a gorgeous card! I love PSX images, and this is a beauty! You've used the colors perfectly, and I love the shimmer of the water and love your sweet dragonfly (yes, not sure how those things happen, but they most often end up well like yours did). Beautifully done, sweet friend! Hugs! xoxo

Hello Karen.......First of all, I would like to thank you so much for taking the time to leave a lovely comment on my birthday cake card that I made for this weeks color challenge. That was so nice of you to take the time to do that.
Secondly, I want to tell you how much I like this card that you made. You put so much creativity and heart and soul into this card and it shows. This weeks colors are just perfect for this image and what you did to make the dragon fly so pretty makes your. card even more special. I enjoyed reading your description of your card. I can tell that you love card making as I do too. Thanks again Karen!
