This card combines Jean's Tea Party challenge with her VSN Scavenger Hunt challenge. I had so much fun making this card. First of all, she gave us a Gaugin painting for inspiration and I love Gaugin. So I painted the painting. I painted it onto a boarding pass, because one of the things in Jean's scavenger hunt is something that you could use as a bookmark. I generally only have time to read when I travel and I end up using my boarding passes as bookmarks. By the time I finish a book, i have a collection of boarding passes stuffed in it. So, I grabbed one out of my book to use as a canvas (If you look closely at the bottom middle you can just make out a barcode.).
I finished the card off by writing the word "Aloha" and scanning it into my ScanNCut to create a cut file. After I cut it out, I jazzed it up with glittery EP.
All that work and it only took me 51 minutes to make this card excluding drying time. I spent 13 minutes painting yesterday and 38 minutes finishing it up today.
The other things I found in the Scavenger Hunt are:
something that reminds you of summer - blue sky
something that is red, yellow, or orange - hibiscus
something you'd see on a postcard - palm trees
something you'd find on a hike - mountains
I had SO much fun making this card and I hope Vicki loves it as much as I do.

Gasp! Jaw Drop! I am speechless, and that is rare for me. I am so impressed that you painting this gorgeous image, and onto a boarding pass no less! I do believe we are going to have to call you Ms. Gaugin from now on! And I mean that with all sincerity. I am also super impressed that you free hand drew the sentiment, cut it out, and sparkled it up. The sentiment is such a fabulous finishing touch on this amazing painted creation! Sis Victoria loves yellow so this gorgeous yellow hibiscus is perfect on this card too. I am impressed beyond words! ~Karen.

Wow, this is just fabulous! It reminds me of a vintage postcard! Love the way you interpreted the painting! And such a clever use of a boarding pass, besides using them for bookmarks!

Sis Jennifer recieved this gorgeous masterpiece today and it definitely is even more gorgeous IRL. To really appreciate the gorgeousness of this card it has to be seen and felt in real time. The artistic beauty and the heart went into making this card is magnificently beautiful. It’s like a Picasso painting. Mahalo Fairy Much!!! With love and Aloha!! Speaking of Aloha I love love the handwritten Aloha you made and the extra ones you included for my enjoyment!!!
