This is for Misti`s VSN Challenge - photo inspiration of toppings for an ice cream sundae. I was inspired by the cherry and the notion of an Ice Cream sundae. The panel on my card was one of many I made seventeen years ago for invitations to my In-law's 50th anniversary party. The party theme was a 1950's style ice cream social. I left the ice cream scoop uncolored for vanilla ice cream - my FIL's favorite and used Close to Cocoa on the sauce for the chocolate - my MIL's favorite.
I've hung onto a few leftover pieces all these years, but since I'm diligently using things from my stash this year, it's time to put this to good use. I'll be sending this card for my SIL's July birthday; she was the one who planned and hosted the party back then.
The image is gold embossed and colored with Radiant Pearls; it simmers so pretty. Today, I ran a gold marker along the edge, layered on a pink card base with a very vanilla paper doily and added a gold embossed sentiment banner. It's difficult to see the gold embossing on the cocoa cardstock - Happy Birthday in script. The envelope is stamped in gold with the same image in a smaller version. I still have both stamps. Glad to use this special image; thanks Misti for the nudge. TFL
