What a crazy website Angie gave us today! I chose this postcard as my inspiration, because we just spent last Sunday night in Orleans, so I had a picture from the beach to use. I printed out this picture of my husband on Skaket Beach and cut the 70 out of it using my ScanNCut. I cut a shadow 70 and outlined the photo 70 in red marker to match the postcard. Then I sponged the ocean scene and drew in some little sailboats. Finished off by using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the sentiment. I really like how this card came out! The only thing is now that I see it on the screen, I notice that I stuck the 70 on crooked--the horizon is not straight.
This card also goes to Michelle's VSN challenge for The Great Outdoors. Trust me, these outdoors were really great!
So, while I was browsing the inspiration site I decided to search for my town. You can totally get Assonet souvenirs, but for some reason they all have outhouses on them? Weird. But of course I've seen that outhouse before--it's at the Historical Society.
Accessories: Spellbinders Card Creator A die, Brother ScanNCut, Stamp-a-ma-jig, foam squares, black sharpie, Spectrum Noir CR11 marker, foam squares, black and white gel pens
Oh my goodness! They have a sense of humor in your hometown! Girl, this is fabulous! I never noticed that the horizon line was a bit crooked and the 70 looks like it should be tilted. All the postcards with the words and black lining are tilted I think! It's so fun that you had the perfect photo!!!
What a fabulous card, love the beach scene and love the big 70 cut out of a picture. Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Hugs, Sandra

This is beyond a brilliant idea. I am going to start rethinking my photos, now that I have the Scan n cut. I also love the personalization and how it captured the memories of the day.
