Here is a very simple card for Simplicity Day, with pretty trees surrounding the building for the nature theme. I took my cue from Lisa and used something that I had hanging around. A card that I hated. Miss Boo's redo of one of her cards yesterday reminded me that I had this card that I never liked. Simplicity Day reminded me that I didn't have to do much to it, so I turned it over and used it for the base of this card for a friend. He told me one day about how his dad graduated from Providence College in 1963 and that most of the students in the class were very close and got together a lot after graduation. They even made sure to include his mom in all their gatherings after his dad passed away. He wanted to know if I could make a card that he could send to one of his dad's friends to thank him for everything he had done for the family. I couldn't say no to that. I found this pretty postcard online that has a crest on it that said 1965. I changed it to say 1963 and printed it out in color on glossy photo paper. Then I rubbed this mornings teabag on it to age it a bit and slightly crumpled and distressed the edges. Popped it up on foam squares and I've got a nice card that I like instead of that one that I hated.

Oh how clever are you to reuse a card base you were not happy with and get it out of your stack of stuff and to find that great image to make a card for your friend and update the date, that is pure genius!!! Nicely done!
