This is my card for CC689. Barbara is our hostess and she chose crushed cucumber, berry burst, tempting turquoise and daffodil delight. Dessert Option this week is flowers. I have several on my little bedroom scene.
I needed a birthday card for a friend. She loves being pampered this way by her family on special occasions. Her birthday is coming up so I thought I would send her a card honoring her special day and treatment.
I used the CottageCutz "Breakfast in Bed" die for my image. It's cut in the challenge colors. The little kitty is baked brown sugar cardstock and the tea service set is naturals ivory - both neutrals. I sponged the tea service elements with daffodil delight ink.
The card layout is an old Sweet Sunday sketch #245. I flipped it to be a vertical design to accommodate my image. For the background, I used the Stampin'-Up "weathered" stamp to create my own designer paper. There are 3 small rectangle panels on the sketch, and for those I used some berry burst ribbon.
The daffodil delight image panel is designer paper from the Stampin'-Up's "watercolor wonder" collection. I liked the soft background for my breakfast in bed scene.
Stamped my sentiment in chocolate chip ink and added a few berry burst glitter enamel dots to complete this card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Barbara has chosen some great colors. We would love to see your creativity in the gallery.
