I found this Summer treats dp in my stash that I think pairs nicely with the new dies I got yesterday. I used a corner rounder on the outside edges of both my card base and dp then glued them together. I decided to ink my popsicle die with "tone on tone" ink to bring out the design just a bit - first I ran it through my texture plate and then die cut it. Since the dp was rather "busy" I backed the popsicles with a large white pierce oval sponged lightly around the edge with spiced Marmalade. Stamped & embossed the sentiment on a scrap of white, die cut and sponged just the edge with emerald for definition - mounted with foam tape.

What fun paper! The rounded corners on your card base are perfect for the shape of the popsicles! Love how you inked the plate to bring out the words on them. Great job with the sentiment as well - sponging the edge ties it in nicely with the colors of paper.

Wow, Linda, this is fabulous DP! I love ice cream anything, and your popsicles look good enough to eat! I love that you've used ink on your dies to give the popsicles more depth, and I love the sponged circle die to make them pop! Fabulous card, sweet friend! Hugs! xoxo
