Wow, can you believe it's May already? It's time for another fun challenge for Fan Club members, and I hope you'll join us for May's Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge.
I have had this Penny Black stamp for nearly nine years and finally decided to ink it up. I got such a giggle out of it as I was coloring it. I could imagine this "momma" snowman with all her little "snow kids" hanging around! I'm sure she is wondering where "poppa" snowman is to give her some relief. Can you see it in her face? LOL! I love snowmen and remember building them when I was young and lived in New Jersey. But we don't see any real ones here in South Florida!
Most of the time I do a "test run" with coloring, but we've been busy getting ready for our son to visit (he arrived today). So, I just pulled out a heap of markers and enjoyed coloring. I knew this would surely be a square card, so I found a great Waffle Flower die that Stacy (JBgreendawn) "enabled" me to buy (not the first time she's done that!). Just love her many dies (and her work). I used the scalloped die and sponged some Antique Linen distress ink and found a remaining piece of tartan/plaid DP from last month's challenge to die cut the largest stitched die. The tartan/plaid works with these country snowmen, don't you think? I used a marker to do a semi faux stitched border and then matted it with Pure Poppy. Just some coloring, DP, and some dies, and that was it! Done - and I'm finally making some progress on my Christmas cards!
I hope you get inspired to join us as we make our 2018 Christmas cards throughout the year! Stacy (Twinshappy) has shared some great challenges so far this year, and I hope you'll join in!
Thanks for taking a closer look at my card! Wishing you all a wonderful week and a happy May! Hugs, all!

Ohhhh this is so precious! You are a dare devil winging it with your colours...hehehe.. I always chuckle when I read you usually do a "test run", sis you could colour with a black lead pencil on a brown paper bag and it would look wonderful. I love you snowy scene and cute family. Have a super duper time with your son. Big squishy hugs. Love you xxx
