Well, I knew for sure I wanted to use the "Seeing Spots" set for this, but how to go on and make it into a card?? Took a bit of thinking, but then I looked up the book, which I wasn't familiar with, and I was up and running. I smooshed wild honey, shaded lilac and cracked pistachio DOX inks onto my mat, spritzed and make my background. Then I stamped the spots, using the same colours, and grey for the larger circles.
Well, I have another stamp with Spot in the title, so I took The Perfect Spot, stamped it on white card (after stamping and masking Puddles, who is pretending he is Spot the Dog today), and coloured with Polychromos pencils. I used an old Fiskars texture plate under the tree, to add texture. Trimmed it down to a square small enough to let enough of my background show, edged it with a black pen and matted it on white. I had some clear acrylic dots which were close enough in colour to look good in the centres of the large circles, so I added those, a pen border on the main layer and then called it done.
Perfect Spot stamped on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils. Laid a Fiskars texture plate underneath the tree.

I' ve been sitting here studying this for a while now, Sabrina, because there is so much here to see. Your background is so interesting, and I love the unexpected addition of the acrylic dots. Your scene is adorable, but it's the textured tree that really attracts me. What a cool way to add interest to your card.

That puppy must be Spot with that cute eye patch! The image panel is so cute and your bg of dots is marvelous. Love the dots over your smooshed bg and the candy dots take this over the top! Your fabulous card will make for a very happy teapotter!

I am so glad you trimmed your white layer small enough to let that awesome background show. This background proves that there is a lot of life in older stamps if we just think out of the box a little. It certainly looks up to date here. I love your little Spot wannabe! He is very cute. The textured tree is awesome as well!
