I am your hostess this week, and what was I thinking?!?! I was watching the Olympics several weeks ago, and there was this adorable skater, wearing a gorgeous costume, hot pink, fading to orange, with just a tiny strip of navy blue at the edge of her skirt. Wow, I though. That would be a great color combo!
Honestly, it looked great on her, but I had a bit of trouble trying to decide how to turn these colors into a card. So if you had the same experience, my profuse apologies!
I decided to come as close as I could to copy her costume, which turned out to be this ballerina. I colored her with Copic markers, then put her in a gold, scalloped oval frame on a base of Night of Navy, with a greeting in white on a Melon Mambo flag. A few sequins fulfilled the dessert option of bling. This card would have taken a lot less time to make if I hadn't had to stop halfway through and spend ½ hour looking for the stamp of the ballerina's legs, which decided to hide for a while!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I LOVE these colors and had so much fun with them! I love that you made a card with a ballerina wearing the dress that inspired the colors. It is FABULOUS!

Beautifully colored, Barbara! Love your bling on this one! Actually, it didn't take much thought using these colors since I'd decided to make an Easter card. No apologies necessary, my dear~
