I bought this image because it reminded me of a crazy childhood Christmas memory but haven't had the chance to ink it up until now. This image was perfect for the Fan Club Christmas Challenge!
So my crazy Christmas memory happened when I was just 5 and my sister was 2 1/2. My dad, the original Clark Griswold (bad luck and all) decided to pile us into a little VW Bug and go cut down a Christmas tree in the woods. We lived in Montana and it snowed a great deal that year. The VW Bug could go anywhere in any weather but the one thing it couldn't do was get out of a snow bank!!! Somehow my dad managed to back it into a snowbank! It grew dark and we were stuck out in the middle of nowhere and these were the days long before cell phones! We stood there freezing in the gloom for what seemed like hours until my dad eventually put a treasured baby blanket underneath the tires for traction and boom the VW bug was free.
We never did bring home a Christmas tree but maybe we brought home something even better, a tale of winter survival in the big woods and a penchant for VW images!
I will probably send this to my sister!

Somehow looking at Junes card I got this one up too. Just had to tell you I love the plaid frame around this and the fantastic coloring you did! Really a great story here.
