I have made this card for this weeks CAS challenge to make a background as a focal. I have used a background stamp and heat embossed the image in fine gold.
This is in keeping with the second challenge which is last weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge to make a Chines New Year card for a little girl in Canada.
It is the year of the dog this year and while I was looking for another stamp I came across this little cutie.
Our suburb is right next door to one of the largest Vietnamese communities in Australia so for the past two weeks all the shops have been decked out in red and gold with lots of little dog images everywhere.
It was a simple card to make I stamped the background image with watermark ink and heat embossed with fine gold embossing powder then mounted it onto some plain Real Red card stock.
I coloured the little dog pierced a small hole either side of his mouth then threaded the gold cord through. I mounted the image onto some craft foam then attached this to the card front I then attached the little tag and that's it.
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Marg
