Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge has me aching for spring! We are to find inspiration from Schreiner's Iris Gardens.....I fell in love with these gorgeous 'Strikingly Dramatic' lilies. For my card, I have used the 'Beauty' set along with the following ODBD Custom Dies: Flower Lattice Border Die, Pierced Ovals, and Ornate Ovals. The lilies were stamped with Stazon Jet Black and water-colored. After the card was finished, I realized that my colors were not as deep as the inspiration photo....too late! Thanks so much for looking! Have a very blessed day!

Beauty is definitely what I love to see, I enjoy many styles of cards, but when I see a truly beautiful card, I stop and have to take a good, long look and enjoy viewing all of that beauty. Kind of like enjoying what God has created for us to enjoy in nature!
I'm really loving your color choices, purple is a favorite color and I think what you've created is lovely. I like the two shades of purple used around the sentiment, and all of your lacy details, beautiful ODBD dies! These tiger lilies look so real, what talent you have in coloring, and I especially love that you've chosen watercolors, for I feel I have a chance with watercolors but copics somehow don't work for me as of yet anyway. I feel frustrated when I work with alcohol markers but I love the beautiful details possible with them. But water-coloring is just so close to art, it is art that seems more accessible to someone like me who loves colors and coloring but who has no training in coloring or drawing and in shading and highlighting but who so wants to create and color like I see so many do on SCS.
This card made my heart happy and I think that is pretty special!
Blessings, thank you for touching my heart, Angella,

Angie, I've been browsing around your gallery (always get so inspired), and I saw this and love it! I've been working on some cards for our church card ministry, and I forgot about this beautiful Flower Lattice die! Beautifully done and such great colors! What a great inspiration piece you chose! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo
