A big congrats to Nancy, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely, colorful gallery & after much browsing, I chose THIS to case. I kept the macaw theme but used different images, different dies & made mine a birthday card.
After stamping, I used Copics to color the macaw then over stamped to sharpen up the details again. A Pierced Oval die was used to cut him out & I had to do a little out of the box to keep from cutting off his tail. I used larger Ovals & Pierced Ovals to make a 2 layered frame around him. Portions of a Flourished Vine were added, cut out of the same green as the frame. The Happy Birthday was die cut once out of black & once out of white & stacked, a little offset.
Congrats again, Nancy! Thanks so much for looking. My blog: The Write Stuff

Fabulous Julie ... I love bird cards as you know and I love this brilliant beauty. He is proud as could be and I love that is tail feathers fall out of the framing and over the flourishes. Gorgeous.

Beautifully colored - somehow my Pinterest feed has determined that I want to see birds and now I’m enthralled with the brightly colored ones. That makes this card right up my alley.
