No MIX challenge posted yet today, and it's at the point where it's going to be too late for me to play along, so I made my own Mixed Media fun for the week by trying out the Paint Swiping tutorial from the Weekly Inkling on Wednesday.
When I pulled my mind away from the beautiful blues in the tutorial sample, I started thinking of honey colours. I only had yellow acrylic, so I added some red pigment powder to some of it to make an orange, and then followed the tutorial. When dry, I stamped my sentiment, and then used more pigments to colour my clear modelling paste, and cut a stencil using the TH Mixed Media dies. The flowers were die-cut from scraps from next Monday's TLC - stay tuned for more info ;-). And the bee is from In Full Bloom, stamped on white card and coloured with pencils, and clear glitter pen on his wings. Just before taking the photo I added a few little Liquid Pearl drops round the flowers.

Wow, this is fabulous! I love the colors you chose. They pair perfectly with with the honeycomb stencil and bee. The purple flowers against your background are so stunning. This is really beautiful. Awesome job!

Wow, is this gorgeous, Sabrina! The gold on the flowers is just another little tidbit to look at on this beautiful creation! I'm looking for a "P" technique to do for Dina's Falliday challenge and I think I have found it!
