Here is my sample card for sweet Robin's, Free for All challenge. I had a chuckle at the revised challenge theme name, as it really is winter in July in the land down under.
Don't look too close at the tree, I couldn't find Kittie's brilliant tutorial when I made this. I have since found it - look for Evergreen Tree in the tutorial section.
Apart from channeling Kittie, I tried to channel Karen Dunbrook....I think of Karen everytime I see gorgeous blue-arty-watery backgrounds.
It sure is great to be home - I made this sample card back in March before we went away, so all the Brusho stains have worn off now. I sprinkled some blue brusho powder onto some al foil, squirted on heaps of water and dunked the watercolour paper in the inky puddle. Using alfoil instead of a craft mat saves on washing up.
I hope you get a chance to play in this fun challenge.

OUCH! My hand hurts just looking at all those punched branches!! Your card jumps right out of the gallery today. What a beauty! Fav'd.

What a frosty looking beauty! The way your Brusho background turned out looks like an impressionistic painting with the white sections looking like more trees fading into a forest background.

Oh, sis, this is gorgeous, and I love your beautiful tree! Yikes, that's a lot of punching! That ole Martha Stewart punch sure is one of my favorites, but it's a tough one to use...hope your hand is none worse for the wear! I love the beautiful background, and I think you very clearly channeled both Kittie and Karen beautifully! Funny how it really is winter in July there! Big ole warm (for real) hugs, sis!! Love you! xoxo

First my dear friend, my hat is off to you for even trying Brusho! That is an accident looking for a place to happen at my house (laughing). With that said, I love what you achieved with the background using it. And, wonderful dimension using Kittie's tutorial as well. You've transported me to winter with this lovely card! ((Hugs))
