I love stripes and really wanted to make a card for Sabrina's WT to use stripes. Frequently there is a disconnect between my brain and hands....as you can see, there are no stripes in sight. I started with the 3 distress oxide inks that one of my son's got me for my birthday....so sweet of him, but he actually went to Michales without a coupon. Such a guy thing to do. This was my first try with the oxide inks and it did not turn out like i expected.i stamped a very old bg stamp with swirls but you can't really see it. Since it looked awful at this point, I applied similar color acrylic paint with a cotton roll. I die cut the frame and painted it with antique gold paint...which does not look gold in the photo. I added crackle paste for some texture. I splattered some of the gold paint and added some purple paint with a tiny cotton applicator. I haven't decided how I feel about it yet. TFL Francie

Francie, if I use my imagination, I see four strips of paper - the frame! Regardless, your card is a magnificent one and I love everything about it! Great piece of art!

Wowza super stunning BG and great way to use a frame on your card. I have two or three that I need to find a way to use and oh I might just need to case this card!

When I find myself at a point where I don't think I like a card, I throw it away - maybe if I'd just kept working on it I'd end up with something beautiful like this.
