I took thin strips of white cardstock & did wrinkle free distress technique using distress oxide inks. (In other words, skinny dipping.) I used all 12 colors, just playing to see what I'd get. I didn't really do any layering, but I really love the results. And I have enough strips to make at least 5 or 6 more card backgrounds.
For letter F, I used flowers and the word friend. To color the flowers, I pressed the oxide ink pads on acetate, spritzed with water and used a waterbrush to paint the image.
I told DH that I think I'd love a house with siding like this (horizontal, of course). He wasn't thrilled with the idea.

Pretty! (& full of technique!) I think if you would paint your house like this it would be great to simplify directions... "turn left at the stripe-y house, etc)

Wonderful created strips for this card! My favourite is the second from the left, like sky and a little earth to ground the flowers. I also love the look of the flowers stamped directly onto your wrinkle-free background.
