Mary is our hostess this week and she has asked us to use at least 2 of our retiring in-colors and for dessert: make your own bg! I have chosen watermelon wonder and mint macaron. This also fits CAS428: May Flowers
I was having so much fun with Simon Says Stamp's Spring Flowers that of course I had to get the follow up set: More Spring Flowers! Here is my first try with the new set (with a few elements from the old set too). Embossed a panel for my bg, embossed a thin strip of macaron for my "grounding strip", which is edged with a narrow soft suede strip that is scored once (hard to see in the pic). The leaves and suede flower are embossed and sponged, the watermelon wonder flower is embossed on colored cs (I discovered the hard way - after 3 frustrating tries - that watermelon wonder ink stains the white embossing). Assembled all with a popped up sentiment panel and some sparkly sequins for that something extra.

Maura, this is gorgeous! I really love how you've used these In Colors, and I do love the SSS Spring Flowers and More Spring Flowers. Beautifully done with this super layout against the embossing. Love it, faved, and pinned. You sure have found your niche in the Color Challenge team, Maura! Hugs! xoxo
