For today's Free For All Challenge, Jeanne has challenged us to use a watercolor wash behind a simple stamp. I did my wash with Spectrum Aqua markers (Yellow, Topaz, and Peacock Blue) with this mason jar of fireflies in mind. After I stamped the jar, I drew in the fireflies with Micron pen and colored them in a bit with my Spectrum Noir markers and highlighted everything with white gel pen. Then I added some "splatter" spots with white gel pen and Spectrum Noir TB1 and LY1. I created the sentiment with my Tombow markers and my new ExactlyWrite template to help me line up my lettering and make it straight.
Finished off with a strip of envelope pattern for Dina's Mixability challenge to use the inside of our bill envelopes. I love being challenged to use things we have hanging around the house! I didn't get wicked creative with the envelope, but it does make a pretty cool "DP" for the edge of my card
Sadly, after I finished my sentiment, I ended up with ink on my fingers and I smeared black on my card wiping away eraser crumbs. Makes it look more homemade, right?
