A sample for this week's WTUI challenge ~ you can find it HERE.
I used the Mini Blinds tutorial, adjusting the size slightly to suit my window die. Originally I was going to leave the "panes" in the window, and had carefully cut the top, inserted the blind and stuck the bit of window back - but then when it came to finding something to put outside the window, too much of the mouse detail was obscured, so I cut it out and filed the edges smooth. But now I know it is possible to use this technique perfectly with a proper window die, I'll be doing it again when I'm less stressed.
I added a Spellbinders banner and sentiment above the valance, and a little cat popped up on the front. I know, I know the sense of scale is all wrong between the cat and mouse, but it was the best I could do in a busy week ;-).
Have fun with the challenge, and I wish you all a peaceful Christmas season wherever you may be.

Sabrina, you amaze me. Even if I just got back from a relaxing month on a tropical island I would not have the patience to make that window blind. What a fabulous design. The little singing mouse us adorable, and the papers you used are beautiful.

Love, love, love the roman shade Sabrina. I have wanted to try this technique and had hoped to try it on this challenge but just ran out of time to try something new. This is super darling and the black cat outside the window is a great finishing touch.
