I don’t usually upload duplicates of my own cards, but I wanted to share another ‘Grace’ card. I uploaded the green gown in September and following a comment from a lovely Splitcoastie about her 2 daughters – who both loved dancing, lime green and purple, I couldn’t wait to get inky and send these.
As many of you know, this is my new favourite stamp - a beautiful ballerina image by Gabrielle Pollacco.
I started with a piece of cardstock approx 6"x 8", placing the stamp in the middle. I then did long swishes with Gelatos and blended each colour individually in a downward direction with my finger then very, very gently use a baby wipe following the exact direction of the crayon swishes.
It is the gentle movement of the baby wipe that gives the feathery effect, especially at the bottom. I also added long streaks of gel, metallic and glitter pens.
Gelatos come in several shades of purple so there was no need for alcohol markers (unlike the green gown that was made with Distress Crayons, Gelatos and alcohol markers)
I fussy cut around the body and upper part of gown before positioning her against the sky. Once she looked right I then trimmed the entire panel to 5"x 7".
If ever your mojo goes on holidays without you, casing your own work is the best ever remedy. Watching an old Grace Kelly movie does the trick too. Have a lovely week and thank you for looking.

MY, Oh MY, Oh MY...such Gorgeousness!!!!! And I am enthralled with the Flooofy Feathers and the Bling in the dress! And, yes, I meant Flooofy, as opposed to Fluffy. In my little world Flooofy is a word which brings to life Extreme Over-the-Top Fluffiness which is many steps above just plain Fluffy. You have definitely scored with this one! Love all your Graces!!!

What joy when you can engage those creative energies all the while watching elegant ladies of a 'certain' age. I appreciate your through design process as well.
I recently tried the smash and swirl technique you do so effortlessly....I rubbed holes in my paper...wicked step-sister ball gowns perhaps.
Have a marvelous Springy dayO!

Wowza Miss Susie these are amazing and I am sure your fellow SCS friend and her daughters will think so as well. I agree if your mojo goes on vacation peeking through your own gallery can sure bring out the mojo again. I am sure going to need to look in to these Gelatos more. I have some and don't play with them. Oh they look so stunning on your ballerina and the added feathers are just the right touch to keep them soft looking. Your Northern Stars BG is so amazing with them too. Beauties!!!

I never tire of seeing Grace!! She is stunning no matter what she wears... Red, Purple, Green, Burnt Leaves...
Although I don't have a gorgeous Grace to attempt your technique, but I AM "giving it a go" after the weekend (along with your koala ).

This is so amazing, Susie. The green with the purple is about lovely color combo. Your technique with the baby wipe is fsbulous...it looks just like feathers.
