This is for Mary - Redi2stamp who has sadly lost her mum. Mary is one of the loveliest ladies you will ever meet and I hope our cards let her know that she is in our thoughts and hearts.
About my card - I started by sprinkling Brusho powder on my el cheapo water colour paper then squirting on a heap of water. I got a bit carried away with the brusho's and water, it was resembling a river so I quickly whacked an A4 sheet of cardstock on it to mop up the water.
The watercolour paper was still oozing inky water so I took another piece of A4 cardstock and this time I gently placed it over the watercolour paper and rubbed my hands all over it to mop up as much as I could. The great thing is I have two A4 sheets and an A3 sheet of watercolour paper all in various strengths of blue Brusho.
I have used the second kissed sheet here, in real life you can see the grain from the water colour paper. The butterfly was from my stash (pre-MISTI days) and coloured with a layer of pencils, then a bit of distress crayon and finished with flicks from several Copic markers.
Thank you for looking.

This is just stunning - love all the different shades of blue and the beautifully coloured butterfly and matching sentiment. Its amazing how many different creations you can make with brushos and water and spritzing it all around. Good way to spend an afternoon - playing - back to our second childhood. We must have missed out on messy art at school somewhere along the lines. Making up for it now though.

Beautiful use of your bg. Thanks to you, I now have a stack of Brusho bgs from mopping up my originals! The offset butterfly looks so pretty. Another marvelous Susie original!

Gorgeous! Love the giant butterfly, your bg technique, and the way your brushos look smacked on her. You and ink and paper have such a great relationship. So sorry for Mary - such a heartbreak to be separated from our Moms! Sweet of you to send her this lovely card. Hugz

Oh my goodness Miss Susie Mary is going to love this card. It is so stunning and so beautifully put together. Your brushos turned out so pretty and that butterfly while it was pre Misti it is still amazing. Such a sweet and beautiful card for Mary.
