A big congrats to Candee, the newest Featured Stamper! She has such a big, beautiful gallery! I kept coming back to THIS card so thatÂ’s the one I picked to case. I liked the little triangle trees & sparkle so I kept that, but I used different dies, different papers & a slightly different layout.
IÂ’ve had this cute little die/embossing folder combo for a long time & thought it would be fun to use w/ some different scraps of glitter paper, metallic paper & some purple paper that was misted w/ shimmer spritz. So I die cut all the little trees, circles & rings and put it all together using some scraps of long strips & a piece of of a water color paper bg. The w/c bg was done using Distress inks & a craft sheet a la Wrinkle Free Distress technique.
The only thing I had a problem with was finding an ink that would stick to the silver metallic card stock circle for the greeting. After experimenting w/ some different inks, I found that Ancient Page did the best but I also heat set it just to be safe. In the open circles on the trees I also added a little stickles to continue the sparkly theme.
Congrats again, Candee! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

LOVE your card! Esp all the different trees/heights/and patterns on those. Perfect touch to off set your circles behind "Joy". The solid card stocks at the base of "Joy" and the trees is also great -- different textures and lengths add to this theme. Blue and white always works for Christmas and your card is proof of that!! Thanks for your visit to my gallery! Candee P
