I got the pledge of allegience set at Hobby Lobby craft store. I love it. The background is done with the pastel chalks rubbed on with a cotten ball. I erased with a pencil eraser to get the stars. On the envelope of my patriotic cards I always stamp "Proud to be an American" from the Liberty for All stamp set. On the inside, I put a computer print out of the Bible verse...."Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." I layered it on navy CS

I call this a "wash" background. I thought about using flag stamps but they were too strong and just got tangled up in the message. Took a while but this is what I came up with. See what else you can come up with using this type of background.

very stunning...gave me goosebumps...i may have to make a trip to HL to find this stamp! TFS! aren't cotton balls wonderful. I have no stipple bushes so I use CBs all the time!!!
