Mary is our hostess this week and she has chosen chocolate chip, cajun craze, crushed curry, and garden green. For dessert: fall
On the Penny Black blog, Jill Foster has some great videos on how to use these "scene" stamps from PB with the MISTI - using a combination of multiple layers of stamping, embossing and sponging. I used some of her techniques here - basically, you stamp the scene, one section at a time, by coloring with markers on the stamp, or with sponges on the stamp, and stamp repeatedly. Then you cover your stamp with versamark and emboss the whole thing in clear ep which allows you to add color by sponging (or watercoloring) wherever you want. I sponged the sky, and the ground behind the fence. Love this technique, and love the results. Added a border strip and thin gold foil strip. The sentiment panel is popped up with dimensionals.

Wow, what a beautiful scene!! I have never done this technique. I will have to come back to it and study it later. I love the watercolored look and sponging especially on the leaves of the tree. Such gorgeous fall colors!!
Very cool technique Maura! Thank you for explaining the process - I definitely want to try this! Thank you so much for sharing your project and creativity at 613 Ave C!

Thanks for explaining how you did it. That is such a neat technique of sponging on top of the heat embossing. What a beautiful card - so perfect for autumn!
