I live alone. What can I say? Sometimes the cards talk to me. And they can be persistent. As I was pulling this one's design together, it sort of mentioned something about bling. What bling? I already put Wink of Stella on the quills - didn't you notice? "More bling!" said the card. No, I don't think so. It's lovely the way it is. No need to overdo, you know. All I need to do to finish you off is take a bit of multi-liner and add some life to the hedgies' eyes and nose. And there you go - that moment when the card wins. My little finger caught some multiliner and suddenly my cute little card had a black smudge. And neither the colorless blender, nor a white gel pen could quite fix it. "Grrrrrr!" I said, to nobody in particular. Now I need to start over again!
And the little card said, "Bling!" as the one hedgie looked over at the jar of white sequins. And, finally, there was more bling, the card was saved, the stamper was happy and nobody will ever know it wasn't designed with the sequins in mind.
(That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! LOL!)

What a charming card! I love those two hedgehogs and the crossword puzzle. It's a great focal point for a birthday card, and it's elaborate enough to not need much else -- well, other than the bling. ;)
Loved reading your story, too! I've had those moments where the card just said "needs more" until it felt perfect.

What cute little hedgies. You colored them great too (love their little rosy cheeks). I've added many a sequin and unintended embellishments because of smudges, smears, and ink spots. Your sequins totally work and no one would have known they weren't planned.
