I used an older Nordstrom's shopping bag from the men's dept. that I had saved. It had a pretty matte silver finish and was a good paper weight. I splotched on alcohol inks and a blender and when dry laid the die cut over it and added more color and pale gold paint.

What wonderful recycling!! Love the background you ended up with! Perfect for the butterflies and the great vellum sentiment. Great gold stars for embellishment too!

Beautiful effect from the alcohol inks on your shopping bag, and the butterflies look beautiful in that dreamy background. I love the sentiment banner!

Gosh, you never know what you are going to pull out of your hat for a challenge!! That silver bag, coupled with the splotched on alcohol inks and the vellum banner with the gold embossing was the perfect setting for this grouping of birthday butterflies!! Love it!!

It's truly hard to believe that was a shopping bag! What gorgeous colors you achieved by adding to the bag. Love the butterflies and beautifully embossed vellum sentiment on this! The stars add to the dreamy effect, Sallie!
