What a fun, easy technique; thank you Judy for revisiting this "old" technique! I made a reverse mask with a deckled edge die and sponged distress colors using the stylus tool. Keeping the mask in place, I flicked water onto the ink then stamped image in Black Soot ink. Removed mask and stamped sentiment. At this point, I thought I was done, but I dropped the card onto the inked sentiment and had to add some unintended embellishments. One to hide the ink smudge at the left edge, and another to recreate/restore balance. I am one of those persons who cannot wear white without getting dirty, same goes for my cardmaking, lol.

This is so pretty - I love the sweet bird perched in a meadow and your sponging is superb. I can totally relate to your comment about ink splatters in card making - thank goodness for little embellishments : )
