Sweet friends, I usually try to be up beat to make everyone smile, however, my heart is broken. My 2 sons and I held our Sweet Dolly the insomniac dog as she peacefully passed away last night. Fot the past 16 yeard, Dolly was our constant companion and the only family member that was always happy. I knew it would be hard to loose her, but I still was not prepared for how heart breaking it would be. We were in our yard and she did not suffer. Just minutes before she died, a beautiful humming bird fluttered for several minutes drinking from a flowering plant near where we were sitting on the grass. I made this altered book last week for the F4A challenge not knowing that we would loose Dolly. I had planned to make an elegant CAS card and was trying to channel my inner Anne Ryan and Karen Dunbrook. When my mind ran in the other direction, I was a little mad. I also did not know what I was going to do with it. Now it will remind me of my best friend and the hummingbird that led her to heaven. I hope she is in a beautiful place like this. TFL, Francie

Very hard to lose our furry friends and family. :-( You have crafted a beautiful memorial to her. I love the earthy look to the framing and the lovely fairies and hummer. Sweet card!

I'm so very sorry, Francie! I know how totally heartbroken you are...I've so been there w/ losing 2 parrots within 2 years. Both were rescues & one had lived w/ us for almost 27 yrs. We are still devastated, a year later. My heart aches for you!

Oh Francie, like the others my heart goes out to you. Made me tear up, as our 4 legged family members are so hard to see go, and my golden here has a bad heart and don't know what's going to happen and dreading it. I am so glad you were with Dolly in a peaceful pretty setting. So neat that a gorgeous hummingbird came...beautiful.
This GORGEOUS card will be a super pretty reminder of Dolly. I just LOVE your rich colors here, could look at it all day...TFS and BIG HUGS
