I made this for today's sketch challenge. A young man who is like a son to me joined the Marines today and is on his way to boot camp. I made this for him when I get his address and send him a care package.
I used pear pizzazz as the base, then island indigo as the mat. The white I ran thru the cb using a script ef. I put bashful blue on the top portion with a sponge, and pear pizzazz on the bottom with a sponge.
I used colored pencils for teh bird, two different shades of blue and two different shades of yellow, a brown and a green. I cut out the image and popped it up using pop dots.
I added 3 blue buttons to the top because I felt it needed something.
tfl and happy stamping.

What a pretty card. I love the script ef, and the great color combo. Perfect coloring on the bird on a branch image. That young marine is sure to love it. He sure deserves our thanks. Prayers, and, all our best wishes to him. tfs.

What a wonderful card, Dara. The bird is beautiful. I am sure this young man will so appreciate this card and a care package. We must take care of our military.
