I was deeply inspired by the photo on the top of the page link here. It shows the wallpaper staged in a living room. I just loved the contrast of the yellow plant with the grey stripes: http://totalwallcovering.com/c14/stripes-wallpaper.aspx
I ended up doing 3 cards from this inspiration during the week, so I'm uploading my favorite of the three because I have 1 other card I want to share with you later. LOL
The How.....Unfortunately, I didn't have any striped patterned paper so I had to make my own. On this card I used textured paste and a little bit of distressed black crayon through a striped stencil to create the corner stripes, and then used glimmer mist to blend them out. This way I could stamp on it and add the yellow floral element without adding more layers.
I really enjoyed working through this! This is what I love about the inspiration challenge. No matter what your original "vision" is when you pick your image - it usually comes out much better, and totally surprises you, once you have worked through the design on paper! Gotta love that!
Hugs,
Audrie

What a skill you have in bringing just a few elements together to make such a beautiful cohesive whole! The diagonal stripes and organic frond meet in the middle with one of my favourite quotes! Wonderful card Audrie!

You never cease to amaze me with your creations, Audrie. This is incredible. I love the look of the paste as your wp. So imaginatively gorgeous. You, yourself, are an inspiration to so many of us (myself included) on this site. I had a rough week, so please excuse my not being able to join in on the fun.
