Thank you Joan for revisiting this popular and interesting technique. I think we all love to do this. But me, I did it backward...after my forward attempt bombed! You'll have to let me know how I did.
Here's what happened. This was another chance for me to play with the Brushos. So I embossed the Kid's Quote sentiment in Sea Foam white...so far so good. Then I spritzed with water, sprinkled with the Prussian Blue and waited for the magic to happen. Well, the magic did happen with the Brushos, but the quote disappeared into the background...not even wiping over the embossing made much of a difference. AND so, I turned the watercolor paper 180 degrees..stamped over the beautiful background, embossing with Sea Foam white. You can catch a hint of it upside down at the edge of the eraser.
Can't help but grin with Brittany McMahon, age 8. People are supposed to make mistakes. That's why we have
And how about that eraser??? Until the 1770's errant marks were 'offed' by bread that have been de-crusted, moistened and balled up! I am not making this up...there is a web page 10 Things You Probably Did Not Know About Eraser Technology. I am not sure what my eraser is called, don't think you can buy them anymore, but I remember it felt good to hold in your hand...and goodness me, I sure know about using one.
Thanks so much for your comments. What is your favorite style of eraser...and don't say sourdough!

My favorite eraser is a fine tip, retractable one that I got at Willamette Stationers years ago. Well, of course they're out of business. I checked during the close out-- no longer available. I treat that eraser very well and use it sparingly. It's great for sudoku.
This card is great for mistakes = lessons. It's a joy to view, with lots of details and brilliant colors. Awesome, Susan!

I had a Frito Bandito eraser in grade school that was my favorite - wish I had him now! I think we got him in some Fritos which were a rare treat back then and I am sure I begged for them so I could get that eraser. Your card is so fun. Thinking about your sentiment...I think it is super true and I think the diamond shaping qualities of mistakes are invaluable. Many hugz and thanks again for a card that is not only fun but educational and thought-provoking as well. Love your cards.

I have been admiring those who have been using Brushos on their cards. I haven't ventured out and bought them yet, but I have been tempted. Thanks for the heads up about what may not work!! Course, I think your card is fabulous, and I do remember using those kinds of erasers, and beleive me erasers are most used tools of my life. If I wasn't busy using them up on all my mistakes, I was chewing them off out of nervousness.
See, your cards always seem to take me on a trip down memory lane!!LOL I also loved your little history lesson on the erasers of life!!
