I was working on this card for the washi tape Ways to use It challenge when I saw that my card also fit the Teapot Tuesday challenge as well (butterflies and blue). I wasn't intending for it to look like a giant Easter egg, so I guess the choice of an oval aperture wasn't the best way to go; I should have used a circle. It's an assortment of spring-themed decorative tape covered by an embossed blue layer with the die-cut aperture. Sentiment is heat embossed in white. Filigreed butterfly (die from Simon Says Stamp) is perched on the edge of the oval.

LOL, it does look a little like an Easter egg, but I think that's more because of the pretty, soft pastel colours than the oval shape. And those colours sure are welcome.
