For this week's pleated skirt technique challenge. I dived nose down into my scrap and rescue bin for this one! I didn't have any lightweight double-sided dp, so I stamped a border and some texture and sponged the back of the flower to get some color. The card base is a rescue/accident/mistake from last week's color challenge. The blue is cut from an old duo-tang school folder, so it has a white core and an interesting texture. The red is the back of a Christmas card. Scrounge master, here.

Aren't you clever!! I was looking at a pretty piece of paper I thought would make a lovely pleat but it was not double sided, I am going to use your trick! This is such a fun card!

I noticed the texture on your blue paper immediately and wondered how the heck you achieved that! Thank goodness you described your process so well, it would have driven me crazy wondering. :-) What a lovely card! That clear blue, red, and white make a beautiful combination!

Way to go, Brenda! Your 'dumpster diving' had amazing results. I had to dig deep to find a two sided paper - stamping/creating my own never occurred to me. Beautiful!
