This is the Melted Crayon Technique. Everything but the card base is melted crayon paper. I was going for a Native American art/turquoise jewelry look.

Bold, beautiful, colorful--just like the Hopi and Navajo art of the southwest. The red triangles remind me of the razzle dazzle design found on some Navajo rugs. And you definitely captured the look of turquoise. Southwestern or Native American styles don't seem to get many comments on SCS, but I love it! Glad you pointed it out, 'cuz I missed it. Very nice! TFS.

WOW! Both of your cards are great! I love this one enough to case it. My DH is part Cherokee and most of his relatives would love to get a birthday card like this. I also have a Navaho brother-in-law that would love this. Amazing enough that both he and my DH were born on the same day!
