Cathy's challenge this week...make it a cold scene. Living close to Lake Michigan, we sometimes have our own little snow storm from the wind off the lake. The flakes are huge and very fluffy. They are called lake effect snowstorms. Stamped the lighthouse, and tried to watercolor the wind and waves of the lake as it looks during one of these storms. Added acrylic paint for the snow banks. Wow - this is soooooo pretty! I love it! Into my faves of course. I love every single thing you did on this - even where you added some green to the sky or it just looks that way - how cool is that! I would love to case this but it is so out of my league - can you come show me how to do it? Hugz

Oh my word...this is outstanding!! You have really created movement in your card, it's like you can see the waves crashing into shore!! Amazing work here!

That sounds like such an interesting weather phenomenon - of course we have nothing like it here! This is so beautiful; I love lighthouses, and your waves and snow just add to it. I like the fact that it depicts the sort of weather lighthouses really need to be there for! So often we set them with tranquil peaceful sunsets, not high storms and low visibility. The sound of foghorns is something I miss.
