It has been awhile since I have made 2 things in one week, and both of my projects were way outside of my comfort zone. Yesterday's card used colors that made me twitch and hyperventelate. Today's stressful project can be blamed on those of you that make gorgeous creations with waterecolor paints. Watercolors are not my friends...I store them in the "penalty box" with other evil art supplies, like my gelli plate and hot glue gun. Eventually, after seeing so many pretty watercolor creations in the gallery, I forget my past and give the watercolors a second chance. I used 2 new stamps from Repeat Impressions that I got with the gift card from HYCCT. I stamped the images with stayz on black, then puddled, blotted, heat dried, and puddled with the watercolors again and again, stopping just before wearing a hole in the paper. I cleaned things up and added definition with my 2 old friends - my white gel pen and prisma pencils. The girl is paper piced and has 5 layers. I was just about to attach it to a card when my DH asked "can we keep it, please"? Who can say no to that? So I attached it to a canvas. TFL, Francie

I AM AT A LOSS FOR WORDS, FRANCIE. I am overwhelmed with what you've created today. It's definitely an artistic piece that needs to stay on that canvas and hung on a wall. Your coloring is spectacular. The scene is gorgeous but, IMO, it's your coloring that brings life to your artwork. I only could dream about having your talent. This is remarkable. Simply remarkable.

Wow Francie, I don't blame him for wanting to keep it and what a great idea putting it on a little canvas.I love that little girl and the ocean scene is, wow! Love the foam on the shore line! Beautiful and I am happy you are keeping this one too!

Congratulations! In the General Stamping forum, you're in the FAVORITES for the week ending January 17. See post #_31___.From the comments, you need to water color more often
