During Hope You Can Cling To I won a generous $100 gift certificate from Chameleon Pens. This is my second coloring project since I received them right after Christmas. When I saw the CAS challenge to use our birthday to pick 3 colors on the color wheel and saw Turquoise, Olive and Green were my colors, I thought of coloring some sort of blue flower. I was too lazy to go down to my stamping area to pick out an image so I decided to Google flowers and then draw some. I used an Iris coloring page as my image to copy. Once I'd penciled my flowers, I took up my pens and started coloring. This is just 3 pens and a colorless blender! Love how the pens work to give you the variations of color. You'd think after all that effort I'd have been extra careful with my sentiment, but I was in too much of a hurry this morning and stamped that sentiment completely crooked....ARGGGH! So I cut the top and bottom more in line with the angle of the stamping and hope that the diagonal/tilted look works somewhat.

Wow...you're quite the artist to freehand these flowers! They are gorgeous and almost look watercolored...I would have never spotted the crooked sentiment if you wouldn't have pointed it out! Don't you hate when that happens! *grin* Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!

The tilt works! And so do your blue flowers! I've thought about getting some of the Chameleon pens. This result just might push me over the edge! Beautiful Card!
