I am actually playing FS this week. I haven't done so in a long time. Congrats to Kimberly! I happened upon this card that gave me inspiration to figure out how to use this darn snowman globe image:
There's a lot more to this card than meets the eye and the photo left out a lot of the details, but it's a pain to get out my light box, so I had to wing it. I made the sparkly paper because it is thin enough to use a punch with. The thicker already made sparkly card stock is too thick and almost broke my punch. After I sparkled up a strip of paper, I used the MS grass punch upside down for icicles and I used the same paper to diecut the snowflakes.
I colored the image with copics (not very well because the image has small spaces and it is hard to get a blended and shaded effect). I shaded the hat and buttons using black and gray chalk pastels because all the pens, etc. made them too black with no shading. Sparkled up the snowman, snow and bottom of the globe. You can't see it, but I used some flocking on the framing behind the snowman; unfortunately, with all the fiddling I did, a lot got wiped off.
I originally used red Perlen-Pen for the center of the snowflake, but after photographing, etc., I noticed it had smeared. So mad as I didn't want to use a gem due to mailing. Anyway, to cover it up, I had to use a large gem. So, there you go. Gosh I'm chatty tonight.
Anyway, Kimberly, enjoy your special week and your gallery is full of lovely creations.
P.S. I named this Let It Snow - NOT because we had too much last year and I had to miss a lot of work and drive on icy streets, but I love snowmen and snowflakes, so there you go.

Love your snowman and all the ice that you did NOT use because you had too much snow and ice last year and had to miss a bunch of work!. Cute, cute, cute card. If I made it, it would be because we didn't have any snow (a little ice and some snow that fell down but melted before it hit the ground). Of course, your ice and snow killed down your bug population and we were overrun with bugz all year so I say you may have gotten the better deal! I love snowmen and dislike bugz immensely. Hugz, Sis!
