For Featured Stamper 456, WT555, and HYCCT1531B: ORANGE you glad...?
Congratulations to Kim, our Featured Stamper this week! She has such a gorgeous gallery. I decided on this watermelon beauty. What a gorgeous design!
I love shades of orange. It is such a happy color. I went a little muted in my colors for Dina's challenge, though, and used Pumpkin Pie for all of my colored inks. I first embossed the fern using VersaMark and White EP. Then I created my wash with a brush using PP. I stamped the fern again in PP, as well as the postmark and hive stamps. The butterfly was watercolored using thinner colors, then cut out using the Thinlits die, and then sprayed with Gold Glimmermist. To get a more muted color, I soaked up some of the color as I went with a paper towel. I added a vellum leaf and strips of the Copper paper.
Changes: colors, die instead of stamped butterfly, vellum leaf instead of label, hive stamp instead of paint dots, added piercing in two corners.
Congrats Kim! Enjoy your week!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Judy, this is beautiful. I didn't even have to check which card you are CASEing. I love the collage bg and the pierced corners to finish it off so well.

Pumpkin Pie has always been one of my favorite colors, and never more so than in your beautiful card, Judy. The wash of color, the images, and the butterfly are gorgeous, and what a tribute to Kim's card!! WOWZA!

What a wonderful collage of fall colors! I just love that stmp set! I don't think I've seen anything made from it that I haven't liked. You used all these elements to their greatest advantage!
